Kids’ Bathroom Featuring Kohler

As a mother of 4, I’ve learned to lean in on the features offered by luxury plumbing brands like Kohler – especially in the spaces designed for children. It’s where you need the features most!

For the Living by Design Showhouse I had the opportunity to design a playful yet sophisticated bedroom, bathroom and closet for a little girl. I set out to create a space that embraced the French saying vouloir, c’est pouvoir – where there’s a will there’s a way. For the bathroom, this became the driving force behind a design meant to inspire and empower femininity.

When designing the showhouse I was so excited to partner alongside Kohler, showcase their products and elevate the concept with their innovative products. While the overall design features odes to French design, reflecting history and complimenting interiors of the past, we were able to seamlessly integrate the sleek design and innovative functionality found in the Veil Smart Toilet, Artifacts Freestanding Bath, and Tone Bathroom Faucet.

The gorgeous enameled cast iron Artifacts tub offers smooth edges and is equipped with a safeguard slip resistant surface so you can really feel safe with your littlest ones. Adding the diverter and rain head allow this tub to function as a bath for now and a shower when the time comes. This slipper tub is like a vintage treasure rediscovered, offering the comforts of modern design serving as the focal point in any bathroom.

Furthering the modern style of the artifacts tub, the Tone trim design is a dynamic beauty where minimalism meets warmth. I selected Kohler’s Vibrant Brushed Moderne Brass finish for all the plumbing fixtures used in the space, achieving my designed classic aged brass look without the maintenance and constant fingerprint wiping.

The sink faucet’s wall mount feature makes cleaning a breeze. This Tone design includes two lever handles, separating control of hot and cold water, making it more kid friendly.

I designed the sink vanity to look like a furniture piece, with its serpentine shape and stained exterior, adding another nod to 18th century France. The Statuary marble backsplash carries that curved shape up the wall, mimicking the outline of the custom bonnet top mirror.

The Veil one piece elongated smart toilet is sculpted to provide optimum hygiene and ultimate individual comfort. It includes an integrated cleansing function, LED nightlight and hands free opening, closing, and flushing.

Each piece was selected to intentionally amplify the bath-time experience for the entire family without sacrificing a luxury aesthetic.

The children’s bathroom designed for the Living by Design shophouse features thoughtfully crafted fixtures by Kohler.

Our designs were brought to “life” by the talented creators at YouSee Studio. Many thanks to the Embello team for selecting me to participate. What fun!
